DESCRIPTION:If you are a psychologist by training and now find yourself working in an environment with few – or no – other psychologist\, you’re not alone! And you don’t have to navigate this experience alone either. \nJoin fellow SBSM members for an informal networking and community conversation designed specifically for psychologists in interdisciplinary settings. This session is a chance to: \n\nShare real experiences (the good\, the frustrating\, and the complicated)\nExchange practical strategies for navigating interdisciplinary spaces\nReflect on how these environments may shape your professional identity and career trajectory\n\nThink through what professional development looks like when you’re the “only one”\n\n\nDiscover how your less conventional pathway can actually bring you closer to our society\n\n\nHosted by Dr. Ali A. Weinstein\, Member-at-Large of SBSM Council and faculty in a College of Public Health\, where she is one of fewer than five psychologists; Dr. Angela C. Incollingo Rodriguez\, SBSM Program Committee Vice-Chair and faculty in Social Science at a primarily engineering school; and Dr. Anthony Rodriguez\, SBSM Inclusion & Belongingness Committee and Senior Behavioral Scientist at RAND and faculty at RAND School of Public Policy. \nThis will be a candid and open conversation.
