The Society for Biopsychosocial Science and Medicine is pleased to announce the continuation of the Young Investigator Colloquium. The purpose of this half-day Colloquium is to foster the development of innovative and impactful psychosomatic research by bringing together the expertise of senior SBSM mentors with the cutting edge research ideas of postgraduate trainees (i.e., physician fellows, residents and postdoctoral fellows) who plan to obtain faculty positions and do research, and to early career faculty who recently completed training.
The next Colloquium will take place on March 23, 2022 in Long Beach, California. During the program, the Young Investigator Colloquium Scholars will receive constructive feedback on their proposed work from senior Mentors, hear an expert lecture on succeeding in academia, form bonds with senior mentors and network with other young investigators. Colloquium awards will be competitive and applications will be objectively reviewed by SBSM leadership. The individuals who are selected as Young Investigator Colloquium Scholars will receive complimentary registration to attend the following: the 2022 Young Investigator Colloquium, and Reception; the 2022 SBSM Annual Meeting; and the 2023 Young Investigator Colloquium Reception.
Applications are being accepted now, and the process is described here. If this program is not appropriate for you, please forward the information to any of your colleagues who may be eligible and interested. SBSM membership is not required.
