SBSM Spotlight

Home / SBSM Spotlight

The SBSM Spotlight series will highlight the biopsychosocial science of SBSM members and the clinical and public health impacts of SBSM member science.  SBSM Spotlights will be shared on the SBSM website and in SBSM social media.  Nominate your work or that of a SBSM member colleague to be highlighted in a SBSM Spotlight!

Science Spotlight

The SBSM Science Spotlight will highlight a recent publication, research study, and/or grant of an SBSM member. Science Spotlights will communicate how SBSM member science advances our understanding of biopsychosocial processes that shape health and disease and the application of biopsychosocial science for health promotion and disease prevention.

Greater Good Spotlight

From viral and loneliness epidemics to societies fractured by disparity and discord, as well as economic, health, and environmental stressors, biopsychosocial processes are critical to understanding and identifying solutions for societal problems. The Biopsychosocial Science for the Greater Good Initiative aims to highlight and promote member science that elucidates biopsychosocial mechanisms and solutions for vexing societal challenges.

Early Career and Trainee Researcher Spotlight

The SBSM Emerging Leaders DEI Committee developed the Early Career and Trainee Researcher Spotlights to promote the work of early career and trainee scholars within SBSM (e.g., students, post-doctoral scholars, early career researchers). The nominee’s career stage will be used to determine whether the spotlight is an Early Career or Trainee Researcher Spotlight. The organizing committee will take a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens in facilitating this spotlight.
