2025 Call for Abstracts

Submit your abstract here. 

The SBSM Annual Meeting is an open scientific and clinical forum where investigators from allied disciplines pool their knowledge, consider problems of conceptual relationships, and develop ideas that will stimulate further research.

The meeting is devoted to the presentation of scientific papers, symposia, workshops, poster sessions, and invited lectures, and special attention is given to networking opportunities to foster ongoing relationships within the organization.

We invite you to contribute to the exchange of information and ideas by submitting your research. Submissions that address the meeting theme of “Biopsychosocial Science and the Future of Health and Well-Being Across the Lifespan” are particularly encouraged. Limited competitive travel scholarships are available to authors to assist with the cost of attendance.  Information on how to apply will be on the SBSM website in the coming weeks.

The deadline for abstract submissions is September 23, 2024 at 5pm EST.

The Society for Biopsychosocial Science and Medicine (SBSM) has been dedicated to understanding and addressing the full span of biopsychosocial science and its implications for health since it was founded in 1942. As we look to the future while honoring the past, the 82nd Annual SBSM Meeting in 2025 will emphasize programming that highlights biopsychosocial science that ranges from foundational to translational and has implications for some of the most pressing health concerns of our time.

Programming will highlight work on a variety of topics across the biopsychosocial health spectrum.

New this year, in addition to traditional abstracts, the following types of submissions will be accepted:

• Studies in Progress Poster Submission (SiPPS): – On a trial basis for its 2025 Annual Meeting, the Society for Biopsychosocial Science and Medicine (SBSM) will consider abstract submissions that describe studies that are in-progress at the time of the abstract submission deadline. These submissions will only be eligible for poster presentations.
• Case-Based Submissions: SBSM would like to expand topics for this year’s conference to include clinical case studies and series. Please consider submitting a case example that explores biopsychosocial science and well-being for this year’s annual meeting.

Please note that abstracts submitted during the late-breaking submission window will only be eligible for poster presentations.
