Dear Members,
Thank you for participating in the vote earlier this year for the change in the name of our society to the Society for Biopsychosocial Science and Medicine (SBSM). As we shared at the annual meeting and in an email communication in March, there was a majority vote of the membership for the new name and the results were officially ratified.
We have been working to legally reincorporate as the Society for Biopsychosocial Science and Medicine in the state of New York where our society is incorporated. We are hopeful this will occur in the coming weeks. Although we cannot alter our public-facing platforms (e.g., website, social media, society documents posted on public platforms) until the reincorporation we are prepared for a timely transformation upon legal approval.
